How to choose the right strap for your TicWatch Pro X

The TicWatch Pro X is a relatively robust watch designed to be worn around the clock, not least thanks to the battery’s impressive capacity in ‘Essential Mode’. Depending on how you primarily use your watch, we recommend different materials for the best possible fit and comfort:

• For intense training and outdoor activities: If you’re making the most of the watch’s IP68 rating for sweaty runs or swimming – then a sports strap made of soft silicone or fluoroelastomer is by far the best choice. These materials repel water, are easy to rinse off and ensure that the slightly heavier case sits securely against your wrist for accurate heart rate measurements.
• For round-the-clock use and sleep tracking: If you wear your watch at night to track your sleep cycles – then we strongly recommend a woven nylon strap or fabric strap. These materials are incredibly breathable, and the Velcro fastening allows you to adjust the size seamlessly so that the watch doesn’t press against your wrist whilst you sleep.
• For the office and everyday life: If you want to highlight the watch’s premium feel and use it as a stylish accessory – a classic leather strap or a stainless steel link bracelet will transform your TicWatch Pro X into an elegant everyday watch. Perfect when using a more classic watch face on the AMOLED screen.

The large, dual display is the heart of the watch and its most vulnerable part. By applying a tempered glass screen protector, you minimise the risk of scratches from keys or knocks. If you spend time in harsh environments, such as on a construction site or during mountain hikes, a shock-absorbing case made of flexible TPU can provide that extra layer of protection around the watch’s metal bezel.

Frequently asked questions about TicWatch Pro X accessories

Is it easy to change the strap on my TicWatch Pro X?

Yes, very easy. The watch uses an industry standard with universal quick-release pins. You don’t need any special tools to change it; you simply pull a small lever on the back of the strap to release it and click a new one into place. It only takes a few seconds.

Can I swim with all types of straps?

The watch itself is water-resistant, but the material of your strap matters. If you plan to swim or shower with the watch, you should use a silicone, rubber or nylon strap. Leather and metal straps should be avoided in water, as moisture quickly breaks down the leather and can affect the finish of the metal.

Does a screen protector affect the watch’s dual screens?

No, a high-quality tempered glass screen protector does not affect either the energy-efficient FSTN display or the colourful AMOLED display. Brightness, contrast and touch sensitivity all remain intact. The screen protector is designed to be invisible during use whilst absorbing everyday wear and tear.
